F&V opened our Indianapolis office in 2006 to provide civil/municipal engineering services to Indy and the surrounding communities. The most most-populous city in Indiana, we’re proud to serve the ‘Crossroads of America’ with infrastructure improvements and enhancements.

Whether it’s sidewalk and trail improvements in Fort Wayne, a streetscape in Wabash, or a sanitary sewer extension in Converse, we can design your civil/municipal engineering project.

Providing safe water for drinking and delivering clean water back to the environment is what our process group focuses on. They do this through evaluation, design, permit, construction, and grants and loans to make your project a reality.

Recently completed local projects include an evaluation and capital improvement planning at the wastewater treatment plant in Dunkirk and wastewater design improvements in Jonesboro.

Our environmental engineers, scientists, geologists, and field technicians provide common sense solutions to complicated environmental problems. Project types range from wellhead protection plans to demolition management, to Phase I and II ESAs, and much more.

Delivering stand out sites is what our site development and enhancement group is all about. We want to provide added value to your site, whether it’s site design, a streetscape, a trail, a façade update, office development, or something else – we can help!

Site development can also include trails and paths, like our multi-use trailway in Hagerstown, or a six-community trail system in Jay County.

Survey is most commonly the first step of any project. Our group provides 3D laser scanning, hydrographic surveying, topographic surveys, expert testimony services, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, land division surveys, and construction layouts.

We’ve provided surveys in Galveston, Hagerstown, and many more locations in the surrounding area.

Construction engineering projects at F&V include observing, reporting, and the ability to provide testing on behalf of the owner’s contract. Every project needs oversight – which is why our approach to construction engineering, inspection, and testing focuses on safeguarding that the project is built to the plan and specifications. We want the owner of the project to receive the value and quality needed out of final construction as well as long-term use.

In 2008, we enlisted the help of our own staff to design and build our new Kalamazoo office building. Our team provided site engineering and architectural and landscape design of the site to fit Western Michigan University’s Business Technology Park. We updated our building again in 2020.

F&V collaborates with municipalities, counties, and INDOT to design and construct transportation systems that become an integral part of the Indianapolis metropolitan and surrounding areas. Many of these projects are roadways, trailways, highways, and bridges.

Our traffic engineers handle traffic and traffic signal issues related to delays, back-ups, and accidents on your local roadways. We provide traffic analysis, traffic signal design and operations, and parking lot studies to help your community maintain safe and efficient movements wherever you’re driving.

One of our most recent Indianapolis traffic engineering projects was a traffic impact study for a local private developer.
