City of Lansing O and M Facility, Ingham County, MI

The City of Lansing’s existing Operations and Maintenance facility had severely outgrown its space.  It was located in a one-story building within the 100-year floodplain.  Due to site constraints it was decided that the facility expansion should be vertical and was to consist of two floors above the existing single story.

The present first floor was completely revised with an expanded locker room, new toilet facilities and a new break room. Added to the facility was a visually open stairway enclosed in glass, a new elevator, new reception area, new public counter, new waiting area, offices, conference rooms and restrooms.  The third floor is comprised of mostly offices and toilet rooms for the administration and staff.

This new facility has been enhanced with landscaping, signage and a more presentable entry for the staff and visitors.  It is truly a facility that the City of Lansing is proud of.
