Projects
St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Paw Paw, Michigan
The building is sited on West Michigan Avenue looking down the very prominent axis of Hazen Street. The Sanctuary is centered on this axis, with space allocated for choir, restrooms and vertical circulation surrounding the perimeter on the North and West sides with dining, classrooms, and a nursery on the lower level walk-out. The building footprint is approximately 4,000 square feet.
The construction is a combination of brick on the front and rear, with exterior insulation finish system (a type of stucco) on the sides. The interior of the Sanctuary is a vaulted, exposed wood beam construction with central skylight that reaches a height of over 30 feet.
The project was completed in the summer of 2005. Future plans call for an expansion to the West side including additional office and meeting space.
