The wheels are continuing to turn on the Linden-Argentine-Fenton-Fenton Township (LAFF) non-motorized trail, as each community in its path commits to support of the project.
At Genesee County Metropolitan Alliance meeting on Wednesday, it was announced that Argentine Township has been selected to receive construction funding of about $432,000 through the Genesee County Metropolitan Alliance.
Their 1.4 mile pathway will run from Central Elementary School (Linden Community Schools) to Silver Lake Road, then to the west city limits of Linden. The funding will become available in 2020, and Argentine Township has hired Fleis & VandenBrink Engineering to complete the section of trail west of the city of Linden.
