The Village took bids for construction of the 2017 Street Improvements Project (Phase 1) on August 4. The Services Committee met on August 10 and recommended that the City Council accept the bid of Hallack Contracting in the amount of $538,300.15 and on August 14 the Village Council took action to award project construction to Hallack Contracting. The areas of work identified for the 2017 Street Improvement Project are identified in the map following this update. Construction work is scheduled to be performed through the fall of 2017.
The Village will hold a Public Information Meeting on Wednesday, August 30 at 7:00pm in the Community Room at the Village Offices, 327 South Hancock Street. Village administration, Fleis & Vandenbrink engineers and the contractor, Hallack Contracting will be on hand to present the project, construction timelines and answer any questions on the work from the public.

Field survey work for the 2018 Street Improvements Project (phase 2) is currently underway. Residents may see Fleis & VandenBrink trucks in the Village throughout the rest of August and into September performing this survey work.
