Congrats and Well Wishes to Harrison DPW Superintendent!

Steve Phelps Sr., the DPW superintendent for the City of Harrison, stepped down Thursday night after 35 years of service to the City. Officials honored Phelps with a retirement open house at the City Hall / DPW Garage.

“Phelps has been a great asset to the City,” according to Tracey Beadle, city manager and clerk. Council presented Phelps with a proclamation praising his works and gave him a key to the City.

“To say that Steve will be missed is an understatement. I have always appreciated his thoughtful, steady approach to solving things,” Beadle said. “Steve is one of those people that you instantly become friends with and not ‘just’ a coworker.”

F&V staffers, including Craig Shumaker, were on hand. He noted that Beadle’s words are echoed by all those who have ever worked wit
