F&V at four October Conferences/Seminars

F&V staff will be attending four conferences and/or seminars this month.

Elaine Venema is presenting at the Oct. 8 Michigan Water Environment Association’s Industrial Pretreatment Program Seminar at the Eagle Eye Banquet Facility in East Lansing. She will present “Developing Local Limits – Your How to Guide,” at 12:45 p.m. Elaine and the MWEA’s Allison Wood will also deliver the opening remarks. Dave Johnson and Chris Hennessy will be manning a booth.

Brian Rice will be presenting “Contaminated Water Response” at the Michigan Emergency Managers Association annual Training Conference on October 8 at Shanty Creek in Bellaire.

Several environmental staff are exhibiting and attending the Great Lakes Environmental Remediation and Redevelopment Conference (GLERR), Oct. 16-18, at the Lansing Center in Lansing.

John Burgelin is attending and exhibiting at the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water Fall Conference, Oct. 23-24, at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne.

Kelly Hon will be speaking and attending the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy’s Source Water Protection Conference, Oct. 29-30, at the Comfort Inn & Suites and Conference Center in Mount Pleasant. She’ll present “Developing, Updating and Implementing SWP Plans and Financing Options,” 1 p.m. on Oct. 29. Jim Brode will also be presenting, “Finding New Wells” and the second will be co-presented with EGLE, “Land Use Restrictions on Contaminated Property Considerations for Wellhead Protection Areas.”
