Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V) Principals announced this week changes in its leadership/ownership team, adding five new Associates.
The new Associates were announced Wednesday during the company’s annual anniversary breakfast where Principals, Senior Associates and other staff made breakfast for all 230 employees at eight different sites.
New Associates include Brian Rowley, PE, Geric Rose, PE, PS, Matt Johnson, PE, Michael Mattzela, PE, and James Green, a senior operations specialist.
“It’s exciting to announce the leadership additions and I’m equally as proud to see their continued growth,” said Paul Galdes, F&V’s president and a Principal. “They have worked very hard and It shows that the ownership transition plan we started over 14 years is providing some tremendous opportunities.”
F&V, which was founded in 1993 by Larry Fleis and Steve Vanden Brink, started the Principal/Associate program in 2006 to promote leadership and ownership transition. Associates are nominated by their peers and vetted out by the Principals and Senior Associates.
Rowley, a West Michigan Group project and client manager, specializes in municipal and private development work. The Michigan Tech graduate is the operations manager for the Traverse City office. He has 19 years of engineering experience, including five at F&V.
Rose, an East Michigan Group project and client manager, specializes in municipal and transportation projects. The Ferris State University grad is an operations manager in the Grand Blanc office. He has 22 years of engineer experience, including nine at F&V.
Johnson, a West Michigan Group project and client manager, specializes in asset management and project development. The Michigan Tech grad works in the Kalamazoo office. He has 15 years of engineering experience, including three at F&V.
Mattzela, a West Michigan Group project and client manager, specializes in municipal projects. The Michigan Tech grad works in the Grand Rapids office. He has 15 years of engineering experience, including five at F&V.
Green, a southeast Michigan senior project manager, specializes in overseeing and operating water and wastewater treatment plants for F&V’s sister company, F&V Operations & Resource Management. The Monroe Community College grad has multiple water and wastewater certifications. He has 15 years of experience, including four at FVOP.
F&V is a full-service engineering and architectural services firm with specialists in the municipal, private and industrial sectors. It has nine offices including its headquarters in Grand Rapids.
