For the third consecutive year, Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V) has been recognized as one of the Best and Brightest Company to Work For nationwide.
“It is such a great honor to get this award again,” said Paul Galdes, F&V president and principal. “It shows the that our employees really like what our firm has to offer.”
The National Association for Business Resources announced the 2019 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the nation earlier this week. The winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm which reviewed key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners.
The Best and Brightest program honored 540 national winning organizations from across the country out of 5,000 nominations, however, the winners are not ranked.
“Our staff – day-in and day-out – make us successful through their skills, knowledge, experience and hard work,” Galdes added. “It’s critical that we provide a rewarding, yet challenging work experience so they can continue to grow while improving the communities we live and work in.”
With over 20 years of experience conducting the Best and Brightest competitions, the NABR has identified numerous best Human Resource practices and provided benchmarking for companies that continue to be leaders in employment standards.
“With the war on talent hitting the doorsteps of the Best and Brightest, this achievement means even more than it did a year ago,” said Jennifer Kluge, CEO and president of the Best and Brightest programs. “As we continue to raise the bar, these companies rise to the challenge through cultural innovation, maximizing their workforce potential.”
Companies are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more. All participating companies receive a complimentary assessment report and benefits throughout the year.
Organizations that have been selected to be recognized nationally as a Best and Brightest Company to Work For® will be featured in the February online edition of Corp! Magazine.
The award caps off an outstanding year for F&V, which celebrated its 27th anniversary last month. In 2019, the company which is headquartered in Grand Rapids and has six other offices in Michigan and two in Indiana, was named Firm of the Year by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan (ACEC/).
F&V was also named one of the Best and Brightest 101 Companies to Work for in Michigan and honored as a Zweig Group Hot Firm. F&V ranked 83rd among fast-growing architecture, engineering, planning and environmental consulting firms in the United States.
“I cannot thank our employees enough for their dedication in 2019,” Galdes added. “It was an outstanding year and we expect that they’ll continue raising the bar at F&V.”
