Newsletter: June 2016 “Indiana Road Work Ahead If You’re Prepared”

It’s more than just those fluorescent orange cones – there is Road Work Ahead in your future.

Recently passed legislation has paved the way for Indiana municipalities to begin addressing critical road maintenance needs. A local road and bridge matching grant program, created through House Enrolled Act 1001, has a funding mechanism in place for years to come. The call for projects closes July 3.

In order to receive funding, you must prepare a Transportation Asset Management Plan and have it approved by LATP. And it’s not just a simple PASER (Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating Study) for a single road and project. A comprehensive plan is required.
