In 1994, Michigan began issuing 3 different types of permits for Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) to improve the quality of surface water by reducing the amount of pollutants in stormwater runoff. When ITW Dahti Seating, a division of Illinois Tool Works, opened a facility in Rockford, MI, the firm needed help with its SWPPP permit.
F&V assisted ITW Dahti Seating with successfully gaining and maintaining their permit by reviewing their facility and its operations. We also became their certified stormwater operator responsible for annual site inspections and consulting on the management of stormwater controls at the facility, as well as identifying spill risk areas for inclusion in the company’s spill prevention, spill response and pollution prevention control plan.
Compliance with industry regulations is key to successful companies, which F&V has helped ITW Dahti maintain for over a decade. After all, as their tagline states, ‘everything’s riding on it.’
