The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Potawatomi Indians (Gun Lake Tribe) wanted to turn reservation lands into an economic boon. Under the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the Tribe established and built the Gun Lake Casino.
F&V assisted the tribe with site design, layout and site development of the casino, including traffic circulation, landscaping, utilities and water and sewer needs. We also designed on-site water supply / treatment and wastewater treatment. Planning ahead, we designed the wastewater treatment facility with a modular concept to allow for cost-effective future expansion.
The success of the casino has led to multi-phased expansions based on our designs and continued improvements, including a tribal center across the street. It has provided a huge economic boost to the Tribe with the community sharing in it, and has become a hub for growth and entertainment.
