The City of Potterville wanted to enhance Alliance Park to further bring together the community at this 66-acre recreational and residential attraction. Baseball and softball fields were already a prominent part of the park, but the city wanted more. Working with community leaders, F&V provided collaborative services to enhance Alliance Park into a community asset, including a community building and pavilion.
F&V architects and construction management professionals designed and built a sleek, modern 2-story community building. Features include upstairs press box and restrooms, and showers and concessions on the main floor. A picnic pavilion was created to provide a shaded gathering place for park-goers. Set on Lake Alliance’s 66 acres of wetlands and woods, both structures’ designs add a contemporary feel without distracting from the natural, rural setting of the park, even using rustic wood siding.
Other improvements include a 38-space gravel parking lot with lighting, electrical service and power distribution, along with a water supply well and sewage holding tank. F&V also added bleachers and lighting for the four-field softball complex.
