Project Overview
Blessing Plumbing and Heating is headquartered in downtown Grand Blanc and has been a household name the Genesee County area since 1946. It made sense for the household name to put roots down in the City of Fenton by investing in a secondary showroom and design center to better serve its clients.
F&V provided site feasibility and conceptual planning as phase one of the project’s private site development process. This was follow by engineering design and site plan development for a new 875 square feet showroom and design building located on Leroy Street along the Shiawassee River in the City of Fenton’s downtown district. Site planning had to consider special zoning requirements specific to the downtown district’s unique PUD overlay. To address stormwater quantity and quality, the site includes a raingarden/bio filtration system under the guiding principles of low impact development strategies.
This new location allows Blessing Co. to better service its customers ‘8 to 8 at the same rate’ in the southern Genesee County area with the quality service they are known for.
