Industrial facilities in Michigan that have the potential to negatively impact stormwater quality are required to have an Industrial Stormwater permit. The permit requires facilities to develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and have a certified industrial stormwater operator.
F&V assists companies in determining if a stormwater permit is required. We also provide certified operators who supervise and inspect the stormwater treatment and control measures including doing visual assessments and collecting and evaluating samples.
In addition, F&V can develop plans for Pollution Incident Prevention (PIP) sand Spill Prevention Counter Control (SPCC), if needed. The plans can be standalone documents or incorporated into the SWPPP.
F&V’s stormwater management services include:
- Assisting permit process
- Drafting/Revising SWPPPs
- Providing certified operators
- Conducting visual assessments/sampling
