GRAND RAPIDS, MI, NOVEMBER 2013: Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V), a civil/environmental engineering and architectural firm with nine offices serving clients throughout Indiana and Michigan, is pleased to announce Mitch L. Hansel, PE, has joined the firm as manager of the Fort Wayne, IN office.
Hansel specializes in transportation projects in addition to having major experience in residential and commercial site design projects for private development clients. He was employed with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) early in his career and has been trained in the most recent INDOT regulations regarding roadway design and construction. As a former head design engineer and later production manager for INDOT’s Fort Wayne District, Hansel’s experience will be invaluable to F&V’s current and future Indiana clients.
Along with his private development tasks, he will be assisting the firm’s client communities with various types of transportation projects from sidewalks, signals, signs, small structures, and storm sewers to road resurfacing, maintenance and reconstruction. Hansel and his staff have the expertise to assist communities from evaluation of alternatives to design, scheduling and budgeting of the various transportation projects.
