Press Release: FVOP adds 7 Operators

F&V Operations and Resource Management (FVOP) announced today the hiring of seven new employees for its expanding operations.

Larry Fleis, PE, President, said “We’re continuing to grow our business, And we’re still hiring at all levels.”

FVOP, which was formed in 2011, provides operations and management services for municipal, industrial and environmental systems. Working with clients, the goal is to operate the facilities efficiently and cost-effectively and extending the life of the facilities through proper maintenance. FVOP supports their staff through training, and on-going certifications to enhance their professional development.

Three senior project managers, with F-1 water licenses, are among the new hires. They are George Regan, Jay Ouzts and Stewart Beach.

“These three guys bring a lot of experience and horsepower to the water filtration side of our business,” Fleis added.

Regan, a former water treatment and filtration plant superintendent and owner/operator of a water analysis company, is a part-time employee overseeing water plant operations in the northern Lower Peninsula.

Ouzts, a former Plainfield Township water filtration plant operations specialist, will assist west and southwest Michigan water and wastewater operations.

Beach will oversee drinking water operations on the east side of southern Michigan. The former City of Benton Harbor utility services director has over 30 years of experience in water operations.

Four operations specialists have also been hired. They include Donald Bicknell, Michael Prout, Eric Barnowski and Rob Pearson.

Bicknell, a former Mayville water plant operator with more 20 years of experience in operations, will be assisting on water and wastewater systems in southeast Michigan.

Prout is a water/wastewater operations specialist at Oscoda Township. He’ll be assisting in the collections and distribution system for the Oscoda water and wastewater system.

Barnowski, a St. Clair Road County Road Commission employee, will work part-time in southeast Michigan.

Pearson, who has 23 years of water/wastewater experience from all parts of the world including three Asian countries, will work in Indiana.

FVOP is a subsidiary of Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V) and provides operations and management services for municipal, industrial and environmental systems in 20 communities in Michigan and Indiana.
