Demolition and Site Restoration
Project Overview
F&V was selected to lead the environmental cleanup work associated with a former Legacy LUST site. F&V staff developed a DC specification package for potential bidders, assessed bid results and provided Trade Contractor recommendation. Additionally, F&V provided construction oversight, source verification sampling, demolition, dewatering and soil excavation management for the project. Proceeding the demolition of the existing structures, over a total of 10,000 tons of soils impacted from former petroleum releases were removed and transported to an approved landfill. Special consideration and management of the site was implemented due to the proximity of a nearby County Road and adjoining commercial and active auto repair shop. Currently F&V is to complete remedial investigation of potential impacts to nearby stream and secure a Public Highway Institutional Control of the nearby County roadway.
