Wastewater & Water Treatment Plant Improvements

City of Croswell
Croswell, MI

Project Overview

The Croswell Wastewater System Improvements project is an approximately $14M project for needed improvements to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Wastewater Collection System. The project is funded through the USDA RD program and has qualified for a 75% grant. F&V has provided all design services including: survey, civil design, process design, electrical and instrumentation design, structural and architectural design.

F&V assisted the City in obtaining a $1.8M grant from MEDC for a new $2.1M water treatment plant. The project included two new municipal water wells (750 gpm each), a new water treatment plant rated to treat 1.0 MGD with vertical pressure filters for iron and manganese removal, and associated chemical feed systems. F&V provided design and construction engineering services including: survey, civil design, process design, electrical and instrumentation design, structural and architectural design, and construction administration.

F&V provided assistance with the construction of a $1M 0.6 MW solar energy system for energy conservation at the wastewater treatment plant.
