Indiana communities must comply with new pedestrian accessibility rules, including those for crosswalks and roundabouts, to align with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Effective January 17, 2025, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s final rule mandates adherence to the Pedestrian Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), establishing uniform standards for accessible street design.
