High Water Services

Protecting and Inceasing Safety Along the Shore

F&V assists communities, private residents, and businesses with safe, cost-effective, and low-maintenance solutions for high water, flooding, and erosion issues. With historical high water on the Great Lakes, we have the knowledge and resources available to minimize disruption and impacts to your infrastructure and private properties.

Our approach is to physically check out your property and become familiar with your issues and concerns. We then provide a topographic survey of the shoreline, including the lakebed, water surface elevation, and existing land structures. We’ll develop a plan to fix the problem, which may include structures such as sheet piling or stone revetments.

We can also assist you with getting the proper permitting through the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and local governments.

We complete permits on a regular basis. Permitting agencies are familiar with our work and approach which can expedite permit reviews. We can also assist you with bidding the construction work, contractor coordination, and construction observation to ensure the work being done follows the design intent and permit conditions.
